GOLF SWING: Bring Your Best Swing on the Course
Understanding the essential elements of the golf swing & perfecting them, is important to playing better golf.
But trusting & committing to that swing that works for you on the course is imperative.
Improving ones swing technique, should be nurtured on the driving range with practice to ensure repetition of an efficient, powerful swing. This is a place that we can focus on angles, and specific movements with the use of drills, teaching aids, video, & mirrors that your CPGA Golf Instructor should provide, to ensure a proper efficient swing movement.
Focussing on areas such as:
Engaging your core, to generate power, ensuring that you are taking a divot after the ball, to ensure solid contact. Perfecting your weight shift sequence, with stability & balance to finish improving contact & control. Coiling your core to create and release resistance. Perfecting your release, to keep club on plane, Improving power, consistency, & ball flight control. Understanding your personal swing formula to bring on the course (consistent grip pressure & swing tempo).
Contact Todd Spring for drills, & a better understanding to improve these areas.
Bringing your best swing onto the course.
One must not overlook the importance of having a solid pre shot routine. (Mental routine to instill confidence, deflect distractions, & dial in your hyper focus.) A Pre shot routine, is the step by step process starting as you approach your ball that should be a consistent process that allows one to clear there mind of all those technical thoughts that can immobilize one while standing over the ball & prevent you from making your most efficient swing. Allow your perfect swing to come out.
See It- This is where we determine our distance, choose the best shot, pick a target, create a plan & visualize how the shot will look.
Feel It- This where we rehearse the swing & feel the right swing the way we see it in our plan.
Commit, & Trust It- This is the most important step where we commit to our decision, & the swing that we rehearsed, we clear our mind, relax & pull the trigger.
